Gas line work: repair and new installs

Gas work is the one plumbing category where "close enough" doesn't exist. Every plumber we connect you with for gas line work is licensed for it; in Washington, that matters legally as much as practically.
Common gas line jobs
- Running a line for a new gas range, dryer, or fireplace insert
- Outdoor lines for grills, fire pits, and shop heaters
- Moving or extending lines during a kitchen remodel
- Leak repair on corroded or damaged sections
If you smell gas right now
Get everyone out, pets included, and leave the door open behind you. Don't touch switches, phones, or anything electrical until you're clear. From a safe distance outside, call 911 and Cascade Natural Gas's 24-hour emergency line, 888-522-1130; Cascade serves the Tri-Cities (and is headquartered in Kennewick). A plumber handles the repair once the immediate hazard is cleared.
Permits and inspection
New gas line runs in the Tri-Cities require permits and a pressure test. A legitimate plumber pulls the permit and schedules the inspection rather than suggesting you skip it. Ask about it when they call; their answer tells you a lot.
